abstract = "This paper proposes to analyze the spatial dynamics of hotspots
during the period of time between 2000 to 2006 in the State of Rio
Grande do Sul, Brazil, considering the seasonality and the land
use compartments of this State. Through modeling of data, it
became feasible to present maps of seasonal and annual climate
station and concentration by the distribution. The methodology in
this research involved the collection, quantification, separation
by year of occurrence, grouping such as a climate station, and
data spatialization for hotspots. This information has been
withdrawn from the burn database, which is provided by INPE. This
process enabled the quantification and spatialization of the
hotspots. The resulting product was overlaid on the land use
compartments analyzing and quantifing the new data. From the
spatial representation, it was estimated that the pattern of
density of the hotspots occurrences with the help of Kernel
Estimator of density, resulting in thematic maps of hotspots of
higher concentrations in the state. After this process, the
intersection between the spots with hotspots of higher densities
and primary land use was made. The obtained result was that the
compartments have a great influence in the hotspots of higher
densities. This research contribution was to alert the occurrence
of the hotspots in Rio Grande do Sul, which can be very harmful,
because they occur in the urban area (Porto Alegre metropolitan
area) as well as in the inner State. Estimador Kernel of density
was a useful tool for the spatial analysis of hotspots.",
